The tour with Susanna from Van Go Tourism was fabulous! Susanna is so experienced and knowledgeable about Portuguese culture and history. And she immediately makes you feel like a member of her family! I especially loved the tour of the glazed tile factory. If not for Susanna, I would not have known the history and artistry of Portuguese glazed tiles – so beautiful! I bought several tiles in the factory store. I also loved our visit to the winery that had been owned by the same family for 7 generations! Delicious tastings of muscatel wine! My friend and I spent several days with Susanna on various tours, and they were all wonderful – comfortable and easy. Susanna picked us up at our hotel in the morning and dropped us off each night after a full day. The travel accommodations were very comfortable. I highly recommend this tour and all others offered by Van Go Tourism!

We visited Sesimbra beach, with nice sand, people, beautiful atmosphere. We had lunch at o Velho e o Mar, a fresh sea fish.

After lunch we visited the beautiful mountain of Arrábida, nice view with a nice nature, we went Portinho da Arrábida, beautiful.

It was a fabulous trip to see this part of Portugal.

What an incredible day and tour! I booked this private tour for a group of 14 people visiting from the United States. We were a dance company performing in Portugal for a festival, along with family and friends who came for the trip. We wanted to do something nice as a group after our work had finished, and I was happy to find this company by googling “wine tours from Lisbon.”

Since we had a larger group, I corresponded prior to booking with Susana to make sure this would be a good option for us. She was incredibly helpful, answering any questioned that I had, and offered two potential itineraries for me to choose from. We were a little concerned about restrictions that might exist due to COVID-19, and Susana was able to provide accurate information and let me know about ways we could adapt if any of the restrictions affected our plans.

On the day of the tour, we were picked up promptly at our hotel in a comfortable and clean minibus. Susana was well prepared to follow COVID safety protocols with hand sanitizer and extra masks. She made sure that we all sanitized our hands any time we entered the bus.

Susana offered a wonderful history of Portugal on the way to the first winery that we visited. The tour of the winery was incredible and featured not only a tour of the barrel rooms but also an incredible exhibit of African art. The wine was delicious. Our next stop was a tile factory that still uses the traditional method of designing and hand painting. It was incredible to see the care that goes into this ancient art, and many of us purchased souvenirs to bring home.

After the tile factory, we had a few hours of free time in the beautiful seaside town of Sesimbra for lunch and exploring. After lunch, we stopped at a second winery that offered a thorough description of the winemaking process, with a special focus on moscatel de setubal.

Susana offered us a scenic route back to Lisbon through the mountains with a glorious view of the beaches and forest. Even after our tour, Susana and I corresponded on social media and she was available to answer questions I had about Portugal and recommendations of what to see.

I highly recommend this company and Susana to anyone looking for a fun and informative excursion!

Our guide was excellent and attentive to our needs! He offered us intimacy but at the same time he was close to us.
