The visit organized by Van Go Tourism, and our guide Susana, were above our expectations. Everything was professionally planned: sightseeing, visits to monuments, beaches and towns, and an excellent choice of restaurant for lunch with very good fish and a beautiful sea view.

We had a beautiful day with Susana our tour guide. Susana personalized our tour based on our preferences. We visited the Pena Palace, Moorish castle, and Monserrat Palace. Her knowledge of Portugese history is truly impressive. It was captivating to listen to her explanations as we visited these wonderful sites. Her enthusiastic bubbly personality made the whole day super fun. She also recommended a local Portugese restaurant in Sintra which had the best codfish dish I tried here so far. All in all, so happy to have chosen this tour. If my husband and I were to come back to Portugal in the future, we would book another tour with this company.
Wonderful day in Sintra with private tour
We had a wonderful private tour with our guide Susana.
We visited the Peña Palace in the morning, in the afternoon we visited Sintra city center and the Regaleira.
The reason we picked a private tour is because we are traveling with a 1,5 year old who still needs a buggy/carry-on, and we didn’t want to rush or trouble other people on a group tour.
Susana really considered our pace and the conditions of the roads (heavy rain) and added appropriate breaks for me since there are quite a lot of hills and roads to climb in Sintra, especially while carrying a kid and bags.
The lunch restaurant she recommended in Sintra was delicious, and my wife especially loved the dessert place we went after lunch.
We are also very grateful to Margarita from Van Go Tourism who translated for us in her own time when we had to visit the hospital the next day for our daughter who stopped eating.

Excellent day out to Sintra! We had been before but saw a lot we didn’t see before. Our guide was very
nice and knowledgeable about the whole area. I was very impressed. Great tour for kids as well-ours
were very happy. Would recommend this tour to anyone.
